It has been a very exciting, and busy, week! on Tuesday morning we were up getting lunch kits filled and backpacks ready for two big girls to head off to school. Elise was ready and eager to go to grade two. Her teacher just returned back to work after taking a maternity leave with her TRIPLETS, and Elise thinks having a teacher who has three babies at home is the luckiest thing that could have ever happened. Tori was a little nervous to start Kindergarten. She was ready and eager but just couldn’t shake the fear of being sent to the principal’s office. Elise assured Tori that her fears were ridiculous. “Tori, I have been going to school for two whole years and I have not once been sent to the principal’s office” she scoffed. That was enough to give Tori the courage to face her fears and embrace the new exciting world of Kindergarten.

Clara was my little helper. She starts preschool and dance in October so she has a whole month of baking and laundry and scrubbing toilets ahead of her. Mable was eager to get in on some baking action too. She is still working on not screaming when it is someone else’s turn, but we have hopes that she will get there. Overall it has been a great week full of chatter, and planning and trying to catch up to the routine that we will eventually grow to appreciate.

They are not the type to look back. Kindergarten and grade two. Your momma's heart is proud of you ❤️

  1. Elise what a wonderful big sister helping Tori with those first day jitters, and Tori I’m sure you will settle in and have a great time. Now Clara your going to have a huge responsibility being the big sister at home when Elise and Tori are at school, teaching Mable to bake good things, do laundry, make beds, clean toilets and don’t forget have lunch ready when daddy gets home, my dear girl you will be so happy when it’s your turn to go to school. Just think what is Mummy going to do when your all in school. Love Youse Gramp Gee
